The bathroom tends to be one of the toughest room(s) to clean and sanitize.  The bathtub and shower are usually where we use the most elbow grease.  But, cleaning your shower glass door and removing lime scale from your faucets isn’t as hard as it seems. All you need are the correct green cleaning supplies.  While there are plenty of options in the cleaning aisle of your local department store, you can easily make your own bathroom cleaner at home that are just as effective.  I personally like citrus scents so I added orange peels, but they aren’t necessary.

What You Need:

  • Vinegar
  • Water
  • Spray Bottle
  • Citrus Peels (optional) Grapefruit, Lime, or Orange

What To Do:

Fill your spray bottle with a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar.  If you want your soap scum remover to have a scent, add the peels from the fruit of your choice.  If you choose to add the peels, it’s best to let your cleaning solution sit overnight before use.  Then simply spray the affected area and rub it in with a metallic sponge and rinse clean.

Why This Works:

Short & simple – Vinegar is a natural acid that breaks down the mineral compounds in hard water.  It’s simple science but…. It works like magic!
