We can all use a little extra cleaning power when it’s time to scrub the bathroom and kitchen. While a general bathroom cleaner may be sufficient for spills and wipe downs, there are times when a scouring agent is needed to get the job done properly. Sinks, tubs, and toilets are most commonly used throughout the day, and because of this a good scrub is needed at least once a week. A great cleaning can be achieved with the right cleaning products. We have the perfect recipe for a D.I.Y. homemade version of liquid soft scrub cleaner that you can make at home with natural products.

D.I.Y Soft Scrub Liquid Cleanser

What You Need

  • ¾ Cup Baking Soda

  • ¼ Cup Castile Soap

  • 1 Tsp Water

  • 10 Drops Of Tea Tree Essential Oil

What To Do

Combine the baking soda and castile soap in a mixing bowl. Add the water and tea tree oil to the bowl and stir with a fork. Continue to stir until you achieve a paste-like consistency. Transfer your natural D.I.Y. soft scrub cleaner to a jar and use as needed.

Spoon the mixture into your silicone mold and freeze for five hours

Remove and store in an airtight jar in your bathroom.  When you need one, just drop it into the toilet and watch it fizz and clean your toilet without you having to lift a finger

Why This Works

Baking soda provides a gentle abrasion that is very effective at scouring dirt, gubk, and grime from surfaces. It naturally whitens and polishes porcelain surfaces as well.

Tea tree oil is also very effective at cleaning dirt, oil, and grime. This essential oil combined with baking soda works great on tough stains on tubs, sinks, and most other surfaces in your home.
